Attended the first annual Purple Paws dog walk yesterday!
The Purple Paws Foster Project was created to find temporary foster shelters for domestic pets that are left behind when their owners are forced to leave home to escape a toxic relationship. Many victims of domestic abuse report that they would not consider shelter at all if it meant leaving their pet behind. Pets are important parts of many peoples lives for the mental and emotional relief that they bring, and they deserve to receive as much love and care. By following Paws4Good you can show your support for this cause.

Around 500,000 people in the US are homeless, and a large proportion of these people own a pet. Outreach centers around the world are reporting that many homeless people forgo outreach help such as medical care, rehab, and temporary housing in order to stay with their pet. In this day and age, pet care is expensive, so in cases like these, both pet and owner’s quality of life is at risk. Paws4Good aims to combat this rising national issue by raising money to support these owners with their pet care needs, such as helping to pay vet bills, or covering temporary housing costs for animals while owners receive outreach help.
